When we started planning the process of building our house, we realized at a very early stage how important the exterior work was going to be as far as the looks of the house were concerned. We did our research diligently, met many siding and exterior wood-work professionals in Nanaimo, and took about 6 – 8 quotes from various reputed companies. On inspection of their projects, most of them looked promising and exhibited good quality of workmanship, and when I met Blake I found his “people skills” way better than most other guys. Last year we needed to have some siding fixed on our home. We had several siding company’s quote (4 in all) for repairing the rot and residing with cedar as it currently had and also for doing the whole house in new vinyl siding. Blake with Phoenix Siding came out the same day I called. He told us what he thought needed doing but gave us all the options. He later sent us a complete estimate for getting the job done. After looking over all the estimates we opted to go with new vinyl siding and the Phoenix Siding company. We couldn’t be more pleased. Blake at Phoenix Siding was a joy to work with – we had many questions about siding choices, many shifts in design direction, and were generally presenting ourselves as clients needing extra attention! Blake took it all in stride, and then set us up to work with one of his installers who was one of the nicest tradesman we have met in years. The installer was with us for close to three weeks; he had full access to the property, rarely had a need for our attention and was able to transform our little square box into something quite spectacular. His attention to detail is apparent in many places around the building, and is even more appreciated now that we have had to call him back to replace siding after some unexpected drainage work.
